  Staff member tried to charge me for a bottle of Coke Zero which I bought elsewhere, even though Mad Mex only sells Pepsi Cola. The food is pretty good for what it is but I had to deduct 2 stars for the run around on the coke zero situation.

  Ordered the naked burrito with beef. Didn't even notice the beef since there was basically none. It was mostly lettuce and some watered down sauce. Did pay $2 extra for a teaspoon of guacamole too. An expensive dodgy lunch.

  So I could never doubt the food, the food is always great and honestly can't say anything negative about the quality. Staff are usually all really lovely, but today I attended the penrith store to grab some lunch with a friend, the gentleman who served us was lovely and I had no problem with him, whatsoever, but he had left for whatever reason, right after serving us. As we sat there, we watched one of the female employees completely ignore the customers standing there for atleast 5minutes while she was too busy on her phone. Once she served the customers and actually did her job, we witnessed her down 3 margaritas within about 2 minutes. I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to work while under the influence of alcohol, nor is it safe. I honestly thought Mad Mex was a family restaurant, young children don’t want to witness this kind of behaviour nor do I. If I wanted to watch someone chug 3 margaritas, I would have hit Ivy up not Madmex. Your employee's really need to do a refresher in their RSA's because thats definitely not responsible service of alcohol.
